Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury

Chairman

Mr. Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury is the Chairman of Union Capital Limited.He has been involved in textile, finance and shipping business since long. He is the Chairman of Popular Life Insurance Co. Ltd and Ex-Chairman and Director of Peoples Insurance Co. Ltd. He is also the Managing Director of Progati Shipping (BD) Ltd – a leading shipping house in Bangladesh. 
 
Mr. Humayun’s involvement in social activities includes a wide span of area. He contributed significantly for the development of Education system of Bangladesh as a member of Senate of Chittagong University, member of Finance Committee of Independent university Bangladesh - a leading and premier private university in Bangladesh and as a member of syndicate of BGC Trust University. His involvement also includes Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (former President) and Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (former Director).

Saifuddin M. Naser

Managing Director

Mr. Saifuddin M. Naser, an experienced and senior banker of the country is the Managing Director & CEO of Union Capital Limited.

Prior to his joining Union Capital Limited, he worked as the Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Afghanistan Bank – the leading Bank in Afghanistan operating in SME sector & Retail Banking.  Mr. Naser also held different senior management positions i.e. Head of Retail Banking, Head of Retail Distribution of BRAC Bank Limited where he successfully established one of the largest retail banking in the country.  He was also the project Manager of the successful implementation of the new world class banking software in BRAC Bank Ltd.   Mr. Naser began his career as management trainee in ANZ Grindlays Bank.  He has held several senior positions in both ANZ Grindlays & Standard Chartered Bank.

Mr. Naser, a business graduate of ABAC, Bangkok has brought with him more than a decade of senior management experience in the areas of banking, credit and financial management, corporate planning, organization development and reforms, etc. He also attended a large number of trainings, workshops, seminars at home and abroad.  Mr. Naser was adjudged as the Most Promising Young Banker of the Year 2007 by the Asian Bankers Association.
