Kazi Golam Rahman

Chairman

Kazi Golam Rahman is the Chairman of Union Capital Limited. Mr. Rahman is a retired secretary to the Government of Bangladesh.
 
Mr. Rahman was born in 1942 in a respectable muslim family.  He obtained his B. Com (Hons.) & M.Com. from Dhaka University and he obtained his post graduation degree in Development Economics from University of Manchester (U.K.)  He held many important positions under government of Bangladesh.  
   
 
He worked as Director General of National Security Intelligence, Bangladesh (1999-2001), Secretary, Special Affairs Division, Prime Minister’s Secretariat (1996-99), Chairman, Power Development Board (1993-96), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance (1992-93) and Additional Inspector General of Police (1992).

Saifuddin M. Naser

Managing Director

Mr. Saifuddin M. Naser, an experienced and senior banker of the country is the Managing Director & CEO of Union Capital Limited.

Prior to his joining Union Capital Limited, he worked as the Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Afghanistan Bank – the leading Bank in Afghanistan operating in SME sector & Retail Banking.  Mr. Naser also held different senior management positions i.e. Head of Retail Banking, Head of Retail Distribution of BRAC Bank Limited where he successfully established one of the largest retail banking in the country.  He was also the project Manager of the successful implementation of the new world class banking software in BRAC Bank Ltd.   Mr. Naser began his career as management trainee in ANZ Grindlays Bank.  He has held several senior positions in both ANZ Grindlays & Standard Chartered Bank.

Mr. Naser, a business graduate of ABAC, Bangkok has brought with him more than a decade of senior management experience in the areas of banking, credit and financial management, corporate planning, organization development and reforms, etc. He also attended a large number of trainings, workshops, seminars at home and abroad.  Mr. Naser was adjudged as the Most Promising Young Banker of the Year 2007 by the Asian Bankers Association.
