Parimal Chandra Chakraborty
Mr. Parimal Chandra Chakraborty, former Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, obtained his Bachelor (Honours) and Master’s degrees in Botany from the then Jagannath College (now Jagannath University).
Later, he accomplished his MBA degree from Pundra University of Science and Technology. He also successfully completed Advanced Certificate Course on Human Resource Management under the IBA of Dhaka University.
Apart from his service in the head office of Bangladesh Bank, he held various important positions in Bogura and Rangpur offices. Throughout his career, he sincerely served in Inspection Department, Banking Department, Department of Currency Management, Debt Management Department, Human Resources Department, Law Department, Equity and Entrepreneurship Fund Unit of Bangladesh Bank in various capacity. He received the Bangladesh Bank Employees Recognition Award-2016 as a reward for his performance in work.
As part of professional responsibilities, Mr. Chakraborty also participated in numerous meetings, seminars and workshops in different countries including Singapore, Slovakia, Germany, Indonesia, Lebanon, Malaysia, Thailand and Bhutan.
Mr. Chakraborty has been appointed as an Independent Director in the Board of Directors of Union Capital Limited with effect from 25 June 2026.
