Mr. Md. Ferdaush Hossain, Director, Human Resource Department – I, Bangladesh Bank, has been appointed as the Administrator of Union Capital Limited by Bangladesh Bank with effect from 25 August 2025, in the capacity of Managing Director & CEO.

Mr. Ferdaush completed his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Dhaka and later obtained Master of Commerce in Finance and Banking from the same institution. He also successfully completed Banking Diploma (Part-I) from The Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (IBB).

Mr. Ferdaush started his career with Bangladesh Bank in 2003 as an Assistant Director and over the years, has served in various capacities across multiple departments including the Human Resource Department – I, Department of Financial Institutions and Markets, Financial Institutions Inspection Department, Equity and Entrepreneurship Fund Unit, and Agricultural Credit Department. Throughout his career, Mr. Hossain has participated in numerous professional training programs, workshops, and seminars both at home and abroad, including in Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, and India.

Mr. A. N. M. Golam Shabbir currently working as Deputy Managing Director of Union Capital Limited. He obtained his MBA Major in Banking & Finance. Prior to his MBA, he completed his B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). Being a Management professional with extensive experience of 28 years, he served 26 years in Financial Institution in various capacities with a wide range of management experience which includes Core Risk Management, Credit Proposal analysis, decision-making processes like strategic planning, capital and liquidity planning, new products and services, compensation design and operation budget preparation, controlling expenditures, ensuring development of portfolio, improving team performance, ensuring compliance, developing excellent customer rapport through enthusiastic communication and resolving problems.

Prior to joining in the year 1998 at UCL, he has served as the Manager of Hardware & Network Division of Systematique Computing Limited (SYSCOM). Mr. Shabbir started his career with Flora Limited, the largest ICT vendor of the country, he also served UNICEF as LAN Consultant under employment of Flora Limited. Besides IT expertise, Mr. Shabbir is proficient in HRM and carrying full responsibilities of HR & Administration Department for over 18 years. Mr. Shabbir attended a number of seminars, workshops and trainings at home and abroad. He is a Life Fellow of Institute of Engineers Bangladesh.

Mr. Murad has completed M.Com (Marketing) from University of Dhaka and MBA major in finance from American International University Bangladesh (AIUB). He started his career with a promotional project namely HORECA of British American Tobacco in December 1998 as Project Leader and worked there for 6 months and then joined in a production house namely In-house Production in June 1999 and worked there for 9 months. In June 2000 he joined UCL as Junior Associate and from that time working in different segment of lease and corporate finance department. In 2022 he was promoted as Executive Vice President of Lease and Corporate Finance Department as responsible in Marketing to Corporate and SME financing. He has obtained various training/ workshop/seminars at Home and abroad

Mr. Mohammad Balayet Hossain obtained his Master degree from the National University in Accounting. After obtaining master degree, Mr. Balayet joined in Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co, Chartered Accountant in 2006 as article student. During his articleship period, he gathered experience on global best practiced auditing procedures, financial management process, special business review, Financial Statements preparation, drafting appeal ground on various taxation matters of national and multinational assigned clients. Mr. Balayet is also a member of the Dhaka Taxes Bar Association. In 2010 he joined Union Capital Limited as Assistant Manager in Finance & Accounts department. He has attended a good number of trainings, workshop, seminar at BIBM, Bangladesh Bank, and different training institutes of Bangladesh.

Mr. Mahbub Alam joined Union Capital Limited in October 2016 as Vice President & Head of Treasury. Prior to that he was Deputy General Manager & Head of Treasury of GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh) Limited and worked there more than 11 years under various capacities. He worked in Noorani Group & A.R. Group as Senior Accountant more than 3 years. Mr. Alam has completed Master of Commerce (M. Com). He has completed article ship from Anisur Rahman & Co. Chartered Accountants. Mr. Alam is a Certified Finance Specialist (CFS) from the Institute of Scottish Qualifications Authority (UK). He is also holding the position of Deputy Chief Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer (D-CAMLCO) of the Company. He participated in various training, workshops, seminars throughout his professional career at Bangladesh Bank, BBTA, NBR and different training organization in Bangladesh.

Mr. Selim Khan Hindol joined Union Capital Limited in August 2025 as Vice President & Head of CRM. Prior to that he was General Manager, Finance & Feasibility of Gemcon Group (Bangladesh). Before that he worked in Union Capital Limited as Vice President & Head of CRM more than 03 Years. Mr. Selim is an MBA (Finance) of Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. He has 16 years of experience in line of Credit Risk Management with different Financial Institutions. Before joining NBFI Sector he served AB Bank Ltd. for more than 12 years. Mr. Selim completed B.Sc. Engg. (Civil) from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). Mr. Selim also completed Master of Development Studies from University of Dhaka. He attended numbers of trainings, workshops, seminars on credit related issues throughout his professional career.

Mr. Asif Raihan Chowdhury obtained his BBA and MBA in Accounting & Information Systems from the University of Dhaka. He joined Union Capital Limited as Manager on January 20, 2014. He is currently working as Assistant Vice President of Credit Administration Department (CAD) with the responsibility of Loan Documentation, Disbursement and Asset operations. He has over 12 years of extensive experience in different areas of NBFIs. Prior to joining at UCL, he served Prime Finance & Investment Limited for 3.5 years under different capacities. He started his career in 2010 with Credit Rating Information & Services Limited (CRISL) as Research Officer and later switched to Prime Finance. He has attended a good number of trainings, workshop, seminar at Bangladesh Bank and different training institutes of Bangladesh.

Mr. Md. Zahidul Islam is an ICT professional with over 16 years of progressive experience and expertise in developing and executing ICT strategies aligned with business goals, overseeing daily operations and infrastructure, managing IT staff and budgets, ensuring data security and disaster recovery, and selecting and implementing new technologies. He has completed B. Sc. Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) and MBA major in finance from American International University Bangladesh (AIUB).

Mr. Zahid joined Union Capital Limited on August 19, 2019. Currently, He is working as AVP & Head of ICT(cc) of Union Capital Limited.

Before Union Capital Limited, he served Delta Life Insurance Company Limited as Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Information Technology Department and Novotel Limited as Senior System Engineer. Mr. Zahid started his career in 2008 as System Engineer at LEADS Corporation Limited, the largest ICT vendor of the country for 5.5 years. He is certified in various professional certifications like ISO 27001:2013 Lead Implementer, CCNSP, CCNP, CCNA, CVoice, CXFF, CDCP etc. Mr. Zahid has attended a good number of trainings, workshops, and seminars at home and abroad.

Mr. Mohammed Zakir Hossain currently holds the position of Assistant Vice President of the Special Asset Management (SAM) Department at Union Capital Limited. With a tenure at the company spanning over two decades, starting from 2002, Mr. Hossain has advanced through various positions across both branch operations and Head Office.

Mr. Hossain earned his MBA in Marketing from Victoria University of Bangladesh, further enhancing his strategic and managerial acumen. His career is marked by a consistent focus on professional development through different training programs, workshops, and seminars. These include Certification in Authorized Representation (CSE), the Foundation Course for Leasing Finance and advanced courses in Credit Documentation and Collection for Mid-Level Managers, among others. He has also gained knowledge of legal frameworks through training on Artharin Adalat Ain-2003 and developed expertise in Non-Performing Loan (NPL) Recovery Strategies.

Mr. Md. Abdul Hannan obtained his Master’s degree in Accounting from the National University of Bangladesh. After completing his Master’s degree, he completed the Chartered Accountancy Course from S.F. Ahmed & Co., Chartered Accountants under the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh and currently pursuing Chartered Secretariat Couse under the Institute of the Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh. He is also a member of the Chittagong Taxes Bar Association.

Mr. Hannan joined at Union Capital Limited in 2018 under the Board Secretariat Department and is presently serving as the Company Secretary. In this capacity, he is overseeing the Board affairs, Corporate Governance, Regulatory Compliances and other corporate matters of the Company.

He possesses more than sixteen years of extensive professional experience in Company Secretariat, Accounts and Finance functions across various sectors, including the financial sector at Union Capital Limited, the 100% export-oriented RMG sector at KDS Accessories Limited and the heavy industry sector at Western Marine Shipyard Limited, a renowned export-oriented shipbuilding company.

Throughout his professional career, Mr. Hannan has actively participated in numerous training programs, workshops and seminars organized by Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC and Chittagong Stock Exchange PLC, which have further enhanced his expertise in corporate governance, regulatory compliance and financial management.
